After arriving on scene, what must the SRU report immediately to the SMC?

On scene conditions and findings

Immediate situation reporting is the focus here. When the SRU arrives, the first thing to relay to the SMC is what’s happening on scene—the conditions you’re encountering and your initial findings. This gives the incident commander an real-time snapshot of hazards, access routes, the number and condition of any victims, and any urgent safety concerns. That initial on-scene picture drives the incident action plan, safety priorities, and how resources should be deployed next. Items like estimated arrival time, weather updates, or the communication frequency are important, but they aren’t the immediate information needed to establish command and risk management at the moment of arrival.
